The Microla's staff is composed by physicists and engineers with considerable scientific and technical expertise in the field of design of optical and electronic systems, which allowed the design and realization of solid state laser sources. The main interest remains the study and characterization of lasers various potential applications both in the industrial and scientific fields. The partnership with the Politecnico di Torino, through the collaboration with the Materials and Process for Micro & Nano Technologies Group its laboratory, permits Microla an high technological level. Its general mission is the realization of RFID tags in the small scale production, the work-on-demand and the engineering of simple electronic circuits and devices which can be asily integrated on a flexible substrate and contain sensors, batteries, discrete components, photovoltaic polymeric cells and so on. Currently Politronica is involved in the "PrintTAG" project, financied by Regione Piemonte, for the realization of printed magnetic tags in collaboration with Olivetti I-jet, Politecnico di Torino and INRIM.
