"IL POLITECNICO" (THE POLYTECHNIC) OF CARLO CATTANEO
"Il Politecnico. Monthly overview of studies applied to the social prosperity and education".

Monthly magazine which was founded in 1839 in Milan by Carlo Cattaneo (1801-1869). He directed and published it basically by himself up to 1844. From 1860 to 1863, when he left the magazine management due to disagreements with the publisher, its main goal and interest was the technical and scientific updating of education, mainly both natural sciences (such as chemistry, physics, etc.) and technological sciences, human sciences (such as linguistics, sociology, history, economics, etc.).
