Welcome to the TrojaNanoHorse Laboratory, led by Valentina Cauda!
The goal of our research is to develop a new generation of multifunctional therapeutic and diagnostic (thus theranostic) nanosystems displaying non-immunogenicity, improved cancer treatment, cell imaging, and high safety for the hosting organism. The innovative concept behind this approach relies on a core-shell nanosystem with a therapeutically active core, i.e. a TrojaNanoHorse (TNH).
For an overview of our research in few minutes, watch this VIDEO.
This research was granted by the European Research Council as an ERC Starting Grant 2015, project title: “Hybrid immune-eluding nanocrystals as smart and active theranostic weapons against cancer” project Acronym: TROJANANOHORSE.
