Mattia Giagnorio holds a B.Sc. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Università degli Studi di Firenze and an M.Sc. in Engineering: Environmental Technology from the University of Southern Denmark (Odense campus). He obtained his PhD in 2020 with studies on nanofiltration, forward osmosis, and the development of membrane-based processes for water decontamination with the goal of desalination and water reuse. During his PhD, he spent a period as a visiting student in the lab of Prof. Zodrow and MontanaTech to fabricate and characterize living filtration membranes. He is currently a post-doctoral fellow in the group.
