In several decades of activities, the Topography Laboratory has allowed the transmission of the topographic measurement principles to thousands of civil, construction and environmental students and has been able to renovate, up with the times, its equipment. In additional to the classic optical mechanical, that’s now antiquate, there are modern precision electronic instruments for measuring distances, angles and difference in height, for satellite and inertial positioning, with related processing software. The laboratory supports the research on satellite and inertial positioning, and the transverse activities, assisting research groups that need geomatics applications. In the laboratory are achieved instrumental adjustments, customization and creation of instruments for research and external consulting.
