Alessandro is the recipient of a PhD scholarship founded by GM Global Propulsion System about
the “Modeling and simulation of innovative electrified diesel propulsion architectures”. His
research activities concern the modelling and the evaluation of vehicle hybrid powertrains (e.g.
low voltage mild hybrid, electric supercharging). Previously he worked for two years in
collaboration with Ferrari Auto Spa as Research Assistant of the Politecnico di Torino on the
development of high performance turbocharged engines. He graduated in Automotive
Engineering at Politecnico di Torino in 2014 with a final project about “Investigation of
electrified power-trains using engine simulation” after a one-year internship in Porsche
Engineering Services GmbH.
Relevant experience
Rich experience in building physical powertrain and vehicle models (with 0D and 1D modelling software).
Awarded as best poster presentation at the PoliTO Energetics 2018 PhD Day.
