font-size: 18pt;\">MNMs 2018 v. 3.014 (25-03-2020)<\/h3><p style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Solved the <span>\u201csimulation time too short\u201d error.<\/span><\/p><h3 style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">MNMs 2015 v. 1.012 (09-05-2016)<\/h3><p style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Implementation of the<strong> Classical Filtration Theory<\/strong> for particle transport under constant ionic strength conditions. The single collector removal efficiency (<strong>\u03b7<sub>0<\/sub><\/strong>) can be calculated using up to seven different formulations (see the manual for the list of the available formulations). The\u00a0<strong>attachment collision efficiency<\/strong> (<strong>\u03b1<\/strong>) can be estimated via inverse fitting of breakthrough experimental data.<\/p><p style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">1D numerical solution of nanoparticle transport in presence of polymeric stabilizers. The model implements a modified Cross model that takes into account the non-Newtonian behavior of the carrier fluid and the dependency of the suspension viscosity on the concentration of polymer. Simulations can be run assuming:<br \/>one <strong>Newtonian\u00a0<\/strong>fluid\u00a0(e.g. water),<br \/>one <strong>non-Newtonian\u00a0<\/strong>fluid<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>(e.g. polymer); two fluids, one <strong>Newtonian<\/strong> and one <strong>non-Newtonian<\/strong>, taking into account transitions from one type of fluid to the other.<\/p><p style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Improved efficiency of the numerical solvers for the simulation of solute and particle transport. <strong>Reduction of the overall computational time<\/strong>.<\/p><p style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The management of the saved variables was improved to reduce the possibility of crashes on the <em>Interaction Parameters<\/em> menu.<\/p><h3 style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">MNMs 2015 v. 1.009 (07-07-2015)<\/h3><p style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">A new tool was implemented for the calculation of the <strong>single collector attachment<\/strong> efficiency using several formulations.<\/p><p style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The file saving procedure was changed. MNMs 2015 now generates two project files having extensions <strong>*.MNM<\/strong> e <strong>*.prj<\/strong>. are both required<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>to open a saved project.\u00a0This new procedure prevents errors during project saving and opening. Compatibility with old projects should be guaranteed.<\/p><p style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The radial simulation tool was extended to support up to seven different formulations for the calculation of the single collector removal efficiency used to compute the attachment coefficient. The user can choose the most suitable equation to be selected from a pop-up menu.<\/p><p style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The toolbar of MNMs now includes the Matlab tools &#8220;Pan&#8221; and &#8220;Data Cursor&#8221;.<\/p><h3 style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">MNMs 2014 v. 1.006 (08-05-2015)<\/h3><p style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Added analytical solution for solute transport with 3rd kind (Robin) inlet boundary condition in presence of 1st order degradation and\/or equilibrium adsorption.<\/p><p style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Both 1st type (Dirichlet) to 3rd type (Robin) inlet boundary condition are now available in all the analytical and numerical solution. User can select which one has to be used from the &#8220;Solver setting and output control&#8221; menu.<\/p><p style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Dynamic zoom has been implemented for an improved visualization of the graphical outputs.<\/p><p style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Implemented for 1D simulations (&#8220;System properties&#8221; menu) the possibility to define the water flow by alternatively choosing among the following combination of parameters:<br \/>&#8211; discharge+column radius;<br \/>&#8211; discharge+column cross sectional area;<br \/>&#8211; applied Darcy&#8217;s velocity;<\/p><p style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Fixed an error in the numerical solution of solute transport in presence of 1st order degradation.<\/p><p style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Fixed a bug in the DLVO simulation tool. Extended-DLVO is now correctly deactivated when not selected by the user.<\/p><h3 style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">MNMs 2014 v. 1.005 (18-11-2014)<\/h3><p style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Inlet boundary condition has been changed from 1st type (Dirichlet) to 3rd type (Robin) in both radial simulation and column transport numerical simulation. Better mass balances were achieved.<\/p><p style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Fixed bugs in file saving. <strong>YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO OPEN FILES CREATED WITH OLD VERSIONS OF MNMs if they also contain experimental data<\/strong>.<br \/>It is suggested to switch models from &#8220;inverse&#8221; to &#8220;direct&#8221; simulation and delete all the experimental data before saving the projects and opening them with the new release of the software.
