Secondo gli Obiettivi per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile (SDGs) delle Nazioni Unite, l\u2019obiettivo di una societ\u00e0 umana sostenibile \u00e8 raggiungibile solamente bilanciando i bisogni sociali, economici e ambientali. Un\u2019uguale importanza deve quindi essere data alla creazione di una crescita economica, all\u2019equit\u00e0, alla tutela delle risorse ambientali, al progresso sociale e alla giustizia. Il Groundwater Engineering Research Group \u00e8 attivamente impegnato nella ricerca di nuovi approcci e strumenti per una bonifica sostenibile dei siti contaminati.<\/p><p>Mentre la bonifica tradizionale considera solamente gli impatti primari riguardanti le problematiche specifiche del sito (ad esempio gli impatti sulla salute o la degradazione del paesaggio), la bonifica sostenibile prende in considerazione anche ci\u00f2 che \u00e8 al di fuori del sito, e quindi gli impatti secondari e terziari (ad esempio le emissioni generate dall\u2019acquisto dei materiali e dell\u2019energia e il tipo di utilizzo del sito al termine della bonifica).\nIl GW Group svolge diversi progetti di ricerca con lo scopo di massimizzare i benefici ambientali, sociali ed economici dei lavori di risanamento e promuovere un uso pi\u00f9 efficiente delle risorse limitate.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8822077 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"8822077\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Sostenibilit\u00e0 ambientale<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5ac9d53 elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-divider\" data-id=\"5ac9d53\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"divider.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-divider\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-divider-separator\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e7394bb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e7394bb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>Il GW Group ha sviluppato un protocollo innovativo per la sintesi di ferro\/argento bimetallico nanoscopico zerovalente (nZVSI) per la bonifica in situ degli acquiferi. A differenza della sintesi di nanoparticelle di ferro zerovalente (nZVI) che impiega reagenti tossici (boroidruro), questo protocollo di sintesi innovativo utilizza agenti riducenti benigni ed \u00e8 di facile implementazione e scalabilit\u00e0. La sintesi di nZVSI permette di ridurre in modo significativo l\u2019impatto della fase di produzione delle particelle e, di conseguenza, di tutto il processo di bonifica. Il gruppo collabora con il centro F<em>UL<\/em>L (Future <em>Urban Legacy<\/em> Lab) del Politecnico di Torino con lo scopo di proporre un approccio interdisciplinare alla bonifica di aree industriali dismesse, nelle quali approcci di adaptive remediation sono combinati con strategie progettuali sostenibili come alternativa alla bonifica integrale.
