He graduated with honours in Environmental Engineering at Politecnico di Torino where he obtained his Ph.D. in Environmental Geoengineering in 2004.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span class=\"policorpo\">Prof. Sethi is Head of the Groundwater Engineering Group and he is member of the Steering Committee of the Technology Transfer Office and of the Information Technology Committee of the Politecnico di Torino.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span class=\"policorpo\">His studies focus on environmental monitoring and modelling, flow and contaminant transport, colloidal transport in porous media, groundwater monitoring, development of novel environmental reclamation technologies, and environmental nanotechnologies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span class=\"policorpo\">He participated in the design and monitoring of the first permeable reactive barrier emplaced in Italy, and for ten years he has been responsible for the environmental monitoring of the groundwater system within the Project \u201cMOSE\u201d for the defence of the Venice Lagoon from high tides. In the framework of several projects funded by the Italian Government and four projects funded by the E.U. (<a href=\"https:\/\/areeweb.polito.it\/ricerca\/groundwater\/research\/colloids\/aquarehab\/\">FP7 AQUAREHAB<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/areeweb.polito.it\/ricerca\/groundwater\/research\/colloids\/nanorem\/\">FP7 NANOREM<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/areeweb.polito.it\/ricerca\/groundwater\/research\/colloids\/reground\/\">H2020 REGROUND<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/areeweb.polito.it\/ricerca\/groundwater\/research\/shallow-geothermal-energy\/greta\/\">Alpine Space GRETA projects<\/a>), he has conducted research on green nanotechnologies and renewable energies. In 2012 he was Official of the Italian delegation at a Senior Officials Meeting Carnegie Group (G8+5) at the JRC in Brussels. From 2015 to 2019 he served as Head of the Environmental Engineering Department (70 professors, 30 staff members, 150 junior researchers, annual budget of 4M\u20ac), Politecnico di Torino. During his mandate the Department received the qualification of Excellence by the Italian Ministry of Research and Education and a funding of 9 M\u20ac. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span class=\"policorpo\">Prof. Sethi teaches the course of Groundwater Engineering and he has thought several courses on environmental characterization, contaminant transport and modelling, aquifer remediation, fluid dynamics climate change and negative technologies at national and international institutions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span class=\"policorpo\">He has supervised more than 100 M.Sc. and 13 Ph.D. students. He serves as an Associate Editor of Water Resources Research and he is author of more than 70 journal articles and of the textbooks: \u201cIngegneria degli Acquiferi\u201d, \u201cGroundwater Engineering\u201d \u2013 both published by Springer \u2013 and &#8220;Nanomaterials for the Detection and Removal of Wastewater Pollutants&#8221; published by Elsevier. His Scopus H-index is 25 (29 on Scholar).<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-inner-section elementor-element
