Determination of fundamental physical parameters of superconducting materials by microwave techniques

We developed a measurement technique (based on the analysis of the response of coplanar waveguide resonators) aimed at extracting the main fundamental parameters of the investigated superconductors - such as penetration depth, quasiparticle conductivity, and surface resistance - as a function of temperature, dc magnetic field and rf power. The experimental determination of the complex impedance allows a comparison with theories and models concerning basic properties of superconductors
