Title: "Mitigation of magnetic fields produced by MRI: shielding solutions by superconductive and traditional elements".
Description: The specific aim of the project is the study of shielding solutions which reduce the electromagnetic field intensity in the MRI surrounding area both for improving
magnetic mitigation in existing systems and for designing new ones with low field emission and low operation cost.

Title: “Functional perovskites: synthesis and magnetic, electronic and ionic transport properties”.
Description: The project is devoted to the study of some selected perovskites displaying outstanding properties such as the colossal magneto-resistive manganites, new materials with enhanced ionic or/and electronic conductivity suitable as electrodes or electrolytes for solid oxide fuel cells and, finally, of perovskite superconductors such as cuprates and ruthenocuprates.

Title: "Study of semiconductor and superconductor materials operating in space".
Description: The activities of the project have been devoted to the investigation of the stability of physical and chemical properties of superconductors (in particular YBCO) and semiconductors (in particular SiC) when applied in space conditions. The final goal of the project consists in understanding the radiation hardness of YBCO and SiC materials for application in electronic devices to be used in space.
