The Lambda, produced since 1912, released 80 HP of power with 1200 rpm. It was serially produced and installed on different planes, such as Blériot XI 2 monoplanes, Farman HF 20 and 22H biplanes, different Caproni planes, the Caudron G3 air scout, the Macchi-Nieuport Parasole, the Gabardini monoplane, the Clement-Bayard, the Nieuport Ni 6M and Ni 10N. In Italy the engine was license manufactured by Società Italiana Motori Gnome, settled in Turin in 1912 by G. A. Maffei.
