How Town Planning Can Integrate Urban Agriculture in City Regeneration

Work Programme

The IP Citygreening proceedes according to five kind of activities:

  • introductory lectures given by the teaching staff and other leading experts working out of university
  • visits to the intervention area
  • meeting with public technical board and local strakeholders involved in the UPA planning process
  • design workshop
  • final presentation of the projects and collective debate.

  • Arrival day: Welcome drink, registration and practical arrangements Venue: Students residence (Venue: Lingotto)
    6th of April, Sunday
  • Morning: 9.30-13.00 (Venue: Cascina Le Vallere - Po River Natural Park, Sala Convegni)
    Presentation of the Workshop: program and contents, Giuseppe Cinà
    Visit to the Vallere area (Po River Natural Park)
  • 11.30-13.00: Partner board meeting
  • Afternoon: 14.30 - 18.30 Case-study presentation (topics, goals, technical documentation etc.)
    Definition of students groups and related tutors

    Visit to the study area (bus from Lingotto)
  • Afternoon: 14.30 - 18.30 (venue: Castello del Valentino, Salone d'Onore)
    Setting the community needs, Meeting with the planning authority and selected stakeholders. Discussant: Daniela Ciaffi.
