Clemente Montemartini
He was born at Montù Beccaria (Pavia) on 12th June 1863 and died in Milan on 28th June 1863. He graduated in Physics at the University of Pavia in 1885. He was Assistant of docimastic chemistry at the of Turin in 1886, at that time called Application School for Engineers; he got the qualified lectureship in physical Chemistry in 1893.
He was assistant at the Faculty of physical mathematic and natural sciences of Rome since 1894, earlier in General Chemistry and later in pharmaceutical chemistry. In p 1902 he was professor of docimastic chemistry at the Engineering School of Palermo, from which at the end of 1903, he passed to the Politecnico di Torino, at those times named Application School for Engineers, as titular for that subject. He was rector at the Politecnico from 1932 to 1933.
