Giuseppe Maria Talucchi
architect, born in 1782 and died in 1863 in Turin. He was a student of
Ferdinando Bonsignore,
Talucchi was one of the few members of the Piedmontese Neoclassicism.
He taught Architecture and Geometry at the University of Turin. The rich architectonic production by Talucchi includes: Cambiano House in Moncalieri, the Hospital of San Luigi (1818-1833) in Turin, later head office of the State Archive, the facade (1823) and the rotunda in the yard (1838) of the Albertine Academy, the completion of the College of nobles in the Guarini stock, then head office of the Academy of Sciences, with the addition of the neoclassic entrance and the long balcony (1818-1824), the completion of the church of San Filippo, the entrance door of the University in via Verdi (1834), the concert-hall within the Philarmonic Academy Filarmonica (1838), the Ionic temple in the Park of Rosine Institution and the implementation of the Ferrero d'Ormea palace.
