Giovanni Vacchetta
was born in Cuneo in 1863 and died in Fossano (Cuneo) in 1940. Vacchetta became Master of Drawing at the Albertine Academy of Turin nel 1884.
Professor of Superior Decorative Drawing at the Industrial Museum of Turin, Vacchetta designed decorations of the Great Hall in Valentino Castle (1911).
He published his works. We can remember some of them: Arte del ferro (the Art of Iron), the manuscript Nuova Storia Artistica del Santuario della Madonna di Mondovì a Vico (New Artistic History in the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Mondovì in Vico) (1933-1940).
