  Riccardo Brayda

was born in Genoa in 1849 and died in Turin in 1911. Brayda was a civil engineer graduated at the Application School for Engineers of Turin in 1874.
He mainly cared for restoring and designing buildings. He participated to the project, co-ordinated by Alfredo D'Andrade, of the Medieval Small Town and Castle, built at the Valentino Park for the Exhibition of 1844.

Among Brayda's publications, we can remember the translation of the work by E. von Sacken, Katechismus des Baustile, known as Stili di architettura e Porte piemontesi dal XV al XIX secolo (Architecture styles and Piedmontese Doors from XV to XIX century).
