  Giovanni Sacheri

was born in Acqui in 1843 and died in Turin in 1925. Engineer graduated at the Application School for Engineers of Turin in 1865, Sacheri was professor of Drawing and assistant of Hydraulics at the School for Architects and Engineers of Turin. Sacheri taught also linear, geometric, mechanical Drawing and Applied Geometry at the Albertine Academy of Turin.

Sacheri wrote several papers on problems related to Civil and Industrial Engineering and didactics of Architecture. He coordinated, together with Raffaele Pareto, the Enciclopedia delle Arti ed Industrie (1878) (Encyclopaedia of Arts and Industries) and he managed the magazine "L'ingegneria civile e le arti industriali" (The civil engineering and the industrial arts) , since its foundation in 1875, up to 1906.
