  Giancarlo Vallauri

Giancarlo Vallauri   was born in Rome on 19th October 1882. Vallauri graduated in Industrial Engineering at the University of Naples nel 1907.

Since 1923 the engineer was full professor of Electrotechniques at the University of Pisa, whereas in 1926 he was called to the same chair at the Politecnico di Torino.

Vallauri was also rector of the Politecnico di Torino from 1933 to 1938. In his life he got several offices: admiral of division, president of the National Council of Researches, deputy President and academist of Italy.

He died in Turin on 7th May 1957. His fame is worldwide known, thanks to the contributions he gave in the fields of Electrotechniques, Electronics, Radiotechnique and Electromagnetism.
