POSEIDON

The POSEIDON project aims to develop hydrophobic eutectic solvents for the remediation of surface waters contaminated with emerging industrial pollutants, such as PFAS and bisphenol A. These solvents, derived from renewable sources, offer a sustainable alternative to traditional methods based on toxic volatile organic solvents. The project involves the rational design of HES, hydrophobic eutectogels, and HES-loaded cellulose nanosponges for applications in liquid-liquid and solid-liquid microextraction.
