GIS and SIT applications

In the last years a branch of LAME activity has been focused on the spatial analysis, in a GIS framework (Geographic Information Systems) e SIT (Territorial Information Systems).

Among the applications:

the National project “The life cycle of the data supplied to the Territorial Information System – territorial receptors in SIAR Piemonte”. For this project ESRI ArcView 9.2 was used. The outcomes of the project was presented in XI ASITA National Conference in Torino.

The GIS was also an important part of the European Project REACCESS (Risk of Energy Availability: Common Corridors for Europe Supply Security):
The project, funded by the Seventh Framework Programme, has been proposed and coordinated by Prof. Evasio Lavagno and received a total of more than 3MEuro with 11 partners. The main objective of the project was the creation of Tools for scenario analysis of EU conutries energy supply.
