FUND OF CARTOGRAPHY OF PIEDMONT

Cartography of the Piedmont. "The research (...), made in years 1976-79, had the goal to cerate a cartographic body, at a chronologically classified territory level, complementary to the historical cartographic material on Turin and its territory already in the cartographic section of the Central library. (...) The classified repertory includes 318 bibliographic cards showing 590 engravings and lithographs approx., chronologically collected (...). The bibliographic cards are complete with critical news related to the execution of maps, their influence on contemporary or later cartography, their re-editing or revisions". The fund includes the reproduction on plane negative printed coloured films, works published between 1523 and 1860. The catalogue, reporting schedules and colour reproductions of all maps, was published in four pamphlets of the magazine "Atti e Rassegna Tecnica" (Technical Acta and Review).
