Ph.D. Student
Ali Naeimi is a Ph.D. student working in the area of water desalination with renewable energy. He obtained his master’s degree in chemical engineering (process design) from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran in 2019. During his master’s, he mostly worked on process intensification of current technologies to improve their performance in terms of productivity and environmental impact. Specifically, he worked on a fixed bed reactive system for ethylene production to reduce its carbon emission. He started his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering in 2021 at Politecnico di Torino, working on an adsorption-based desalination system, under the supervision of Prof. Alberto Tiraferri in collaboration with Prof. Matteo Fasano from the Energy Department.
