Ph.D. Student
Lorenzo obtained his Laurea Triennale (equivalent to a Bachelor of science) in Environmental Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in October 2020 and his Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to a Master of Science) in Environmental Engineering from the same university in October 2022. During his master’s, he worked on dewatering of microalgae culture with microfiltration. Specifically, he investigated the potential and challenges of water reuse and effective harvesting.
He joined the en.sur.e water group in 2022 as a research assistant and, starting from November 2023, he is a 39th cycle Ph.D. student in Environmental Engineering at Politecnico di Torino under the supervision of Prof. Alberto Tiraferri. His research centers on membrane-based processes for water and wastewater treatment and reuse, with a specific focus on membrane distillation for desalination and resource recovery.
