Ph.D. Student
Madina Mohamed obtained her Bachelor of Science from the American University in Cairo (AUC) in 2012, with a major in General Chemistry and a minor in Business Administration. In 2018, she graduated as a Masters’ student in Food Chemistry at AUC. During her Masters, her research lied within the field of environmental chemistry and materials science, focusing on membrane synthesis. Specifically, she used graphene oxide nano-fillers to improve the performance of cellulose acetate reverse osmosis membranes for wastewater treatment, under the supervision of Prof. A. Ramadan and Prof. A. Esawi. In 2020, Madina started her Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering at Politicnico di Torino in collaboration with Eni and under the supervision of Prof. A. Tiraferri.
