RESEARCH
Research is carried out within university research programs, which are sponsored by the European Commission, the Ministries of Foreign Affair and Research, the CNR (National Centre for Research), local bodies or in the framework of inter-universities agreements. The main subjects covered are low-cost building technologies, self-help housing, use of vegetable materials in building construction, bioclimatic design in adverse climates, preservation of urban and architectural heritage in developing countries, global housing quality assessment, requalification and regeneration of marginal urban areas. Thesis within the School of Technology, Architecture and City in developing countries, along with themes addressed by the postgraduate Course in Habitat, Technology and Development and activities carried out during the summary Laboratory of Technologies for extreme environments have always represented the excellence of educational programs in the present framework. The approach adopted while searching is often an experimental one, and comparison with other bodies, universities and institutions in the Italian, European and global contexts ensures a continuous assessment.
