MiraMap is the project currently underway based on an innovative approach for a more inclusive and sustainable urban planning and governance through the use of the ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) matched with a participatory process. The aim is to set up a governing tool which integrates citizens perspective, through their effective engagement in the co-design and production of public services and the use of a collaborative platform, which benefits from a social networking and a web-based mapping system.
The project is leaded by the Centre – Department of Architecture and Design (DAD) of the Polytechnic University of Turin, in collaboration with Mirafiori Sud District – Città di Torino, and Fondazione della Comunità di Mirafiori. The digital platform is developed in collaboration with the Computer Science Department of the Università di Torino.
