SERIES OF TEST MACHINES

Series of extensometers
It includes 16 instruments (1890-1950), pointer extensometers of 1890 are to be signalled. They were designed by Camillo Guidi, teacher of Science of Construction.

Photoelasticity Benches
It includes three photoelasticity benches, designed by Gustavo Colonnetti (1912-1930).

Series of deflectometers
It includes some deflectometers, whose the most ancient one, designed by Camillo Guidi, resorts to 1897.

Series of Vicat's needles
Five specimens, of which the most ancient resorts to 1880.

Series of dynamometers
It includes a mercury equipment and mechanical dynamometers, used for calibrating machines used during resistance tests of materials.

Series of machines for resistance tests on materials
It includes 18 machines for resistance tests of traction, compression, rotary flexion, collision and wear (1879-1930). It is worth mentioning a part of the universal machine for 100 tons, manufactured in 1879, after a project by Giovanni Corinne, and two machines for tests on wires (1890).

The collection is preserved at the department of Structural Engineering.
