LCA
Lyfe Cycle Assessment

The Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is an evolution of the Energy Analysis technique, developed at the end of the sixties due to the new interest of some key companies in evaluation and rationalising energy and materials consumption and to limit the emissions into the environment.

Since then, the number product categories which have undergone an LCA have exploded and the analysis methodologies have become increasingly refined and standardised.

The LCA, as regulated by the ISO standards 14040 and 14044:2006, today is a methodology that allows to evaluate the energy and environmental performances of production processes and of anthropic or natural activities and to identify their effects on the environment, the human health and the natural resources depletion
