The Master Course modules have been designed
and made in 1997-1998 in the framework of an EU Leonardo Program.
The Course lessons has been developed in 1998-1999 in Torino and
Helsinki.
The Master
The Master is presented by Corep
(The Consortium for Research and Continuing Education, within the
framework of the TRUE (Training for Underground Environment) Project
carried out with the support of the Commission of the European
Communities under the Leonardo da Vinci Programme.
In the TRUE Project have participated different partners:

The course has been intended for newly graduated students as well as
those who are employed in underground constructions, who can thus
integrate their sectorial preparation with instruments,
methodologies and multi-disciplinary knowledge in order to become a
new professional figure endowed with more complex operative
instruments and who will be able to communicate with other
technicians in the field.
The Master Course proposes the creation of
a new professional figure, i.e. experts in underground environment
(town planners, engineers, architects, geologists, archaeologists,
psychologists, etc...), who will acquire further and more complex
abilities to operate in a multidisciplinary and systemic way in this
particular environmental field.
The aim of this project is to set up
a multi-disciplinary training course, that integrates various
disciplines, which are normally separate and not closely connected.
