About us
The Research and Documentation Centre for Technology, Architecture and City in developing Countries (CRD-PVS) founded within Politecnico di Torino, established its own constitution in 2003 based on the experience gained through the homonymous School of specialization from 1990 to 2003.
The centre encourages research activities focused on habitat improvement in extreme conditions, such as climate or social emergency, and promotes science awareness initiatives (seminars, lectures, workshops, stages etc.).
It further offers undergraduate and postgraduate education and proposes a specialisation course in Habitat, Technology and Development aimed at professionally train both architects and engineers interested in working within developing and emerging countries-related projects.
Moreover, CRD-PVS participates in programs of international and technical cooperation in partnership with universities, national and international associations, bodies and non-governmental organizations.
