Nowadays 1D and 3D- CFD engine modelling represents an essential tool in engine development.

Building an engine model, validating it through experimental testing and finally using it as a virtual test bench are activities routinely performed for all our research projects.

Development of engine control systems, proof of new concepts, assessment of the potentialities of new technologies are some examples of engine modelling activities.

Finally, we are actively collaborating with Gamma Technologies to enhance engine simulation s/w predicting capabilities for abnormal combustion phenomenon such as knock and misfire.
