Luca Eusebiu Purice is a research fellow at Politecnico di Torino, working within the Groundwater Research Group. His research focuses on the transport behaviour of nanoparticles in porous media, with a particular emphasis on characterization, experimental testing, and numerical modelling under saturated and unsaturated conditions. More in detail, he conducts column transport experiments in the lab, involving both organic and inorganic nanoparticles, to investigate the mechanisms governing their mobility and retention in soils and other types of porous media. Luca holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the same institution where he now conducts his research.
Outside the lab, he enjoys reading novels, especially Japanese and other Asian literature, science fiction and mystery genres, watching Korean drama series, learning languages and having long walks in parks while listening to relaxing music.
