Ali Naeimi Tabasian is a Ph.D. student in Environmental and Land Engineering at Politecnico di Torino. He holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, where his research focused on adsorption desalination. As a process engineer, his primary interests include process intensification, modeling, and the optimization of water and wastewater treatment systems.

In 2021, Ali joined the Membrane Group at Politecnico di Torino for his doctoral research, working on a project aimed at utilizing membrane distillation for urine treatment and water recovery aboard the International Space Station. This project was conducted in collaboration with Thales Alenia Space.

In addition to his main Ph.D. work, Ali has collaborated with the Department of Energy on a pilot-scale adsorption desalination system at the Clean Water Center, where he currently works part-time as a laboratory technician.

Outside of his academic and professional commitments, Ali enjoys playing volleyball and padel in his free time.
