Alessandra Pertoso obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering and a Master’s degree in Environmental and Land Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino. She is currently a PhD student focusing on the remediation of contaminated sites, with particular attention to soil and groundwater contamination by PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances).
Her research activity combines laboratory experiments and field investigations aimed at understanding the behavior of contaminants and exploring effective remediation strategies for impacted environments. Alongside her research, she is involved in teaching support activities, contributing to academic courses and student training in environmental engineering.
In her spare time, Alessandra enjoys spending time in the mountains, attending social, political, and cultural events, and travelling.
