Iris is a Ph.D. candidate at Politecnico di Torino, where she works on developing innovative approaches for the in-situ remediation of contaminated aquifers.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental and Land Engineering, with a specialization in Climate Change. Her master’s thesis, carried out in collaboration with the Groundwater Engineering group, focused on PFAS removal from aqueous matrices through adsorption onto granular activated carbon (GAC).

In September 2025, during the RemTech Expo in Ferrara, she received the “RemTech Degree Award” promoted by Assoreca, as well as the graduation award from the DIATI Department of Politecnico di Torino.

Outside the academic sphere, she enjoys sports, music, reading, and spending time with friends.
