Lorenzo Lanzafame has a MSc in Geological Sciences, obtained in November 2018 at the University of Milan-Bicocca. His thesis concerns groundwater flow and heat transport modeling in the Eastern Milan area, in order to assess the vulnerability of the shallow aquifer in a highly anthropized area.
After graduating, he worked for different environmental consultancy firms, operating in the sectors of environmental remediation and low enthalpy geothermal systems, dealing mainly with groundwater numerical modeling.
In November 2021 he joined the Groundwater Engineering Research Group as a research fellow. The research project, carried in partnership with Eni Rewind, concerns groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling.
