Bruno is a research engineer in the field of renewable energy technologies. He holds a first-class honours MSc in Energy and Nuclear Engineer (2015) at Politecnico di Torino. During his career he worked in both academic and industry contexts exploring several subjects in the renewable energy area including hydrogen and synthetic fuels for air and marine transport, life-cycle assessment of electro- and bio- fuels from production to end-use, low-enthalpy geothermal energy for buildings, cogeneration plants and heat exchangers for automotive sector.
He actively contributed to the completion of international research projects such as GRETA project (2016-2018) on shallow geothermal energy, funded by the EU program INTERREG; he worked for national strategic projects under Singapore Maritime Institute (2019-2020) to foster sustainable development and renewable energy in the Port of Singapore and he completed a consultancy assignment as lead researcher for Swire Pacific Offshore, a major international company in maritime transport services interested in hydrogen and other alternative marine fuels (2018-2019). He is currently working as research fellow at DIATI on the environmental impact of photovoltaic plants in the Italian social and legal context.
Work aside, Bruno likes singing and playing music with the guitar and other instruments, traveling and trekking, reading books and sleeping in a tent under the starry skies.
